This 1999 drama, the feature film debut by local director and writer Lynne Ramsey, takes place in Glasgow, 1970s.

Against a backdrop of strikes which leave refuse collecting in the inner city, and tenement blocks undergoing drastic redevelopment, young boy James comes of age, as his friendships grow and wane with other children in the area, and he searches for relief from his family, after a tragic incident in which he played a part. A film screening hosted by The New Glasgow Society and Glasgow West End Free Film Festival, free and open to public.
