Mid-80s, I was poised to take a photo of this painting and the two ladies walked past making the composition even better.

Even if he was on his way out, it didn't look like it was raining outside, so there seemed to be no point. But I suppose that's the point of the painting - the enigma.
Comment by Laura Gillespie on May 18, 2012 at 20:00 Thank you for that, I found it today; it's called North Corridor, painted by David Evans in 1979. I always find it a bit of a spooky picture, I'm a bit scared of whatever is providing the light glowing through the door!
Comment by Dini Power on May 17, 2012 at 19:37 Hi Laura,
I don't know who painted it or what it's called but last time I was in the gallery it was hanging in the stair area to the left of the front door at Kelvingrove. So it's worth having a look.
Comment by Laura Gillespie on May 15, 2012 at 19:31 Do you know what the painting or artist is called? I was thinking of this painting the last time I was in Kelvingrove, but couldn't find it or ask for it!
