Aside from the issues around the change of use for the site of the Botanic Gardens Garage the opinion quoted in the Herald below by Councillor Alex Glass show a scant lack of understanding regarding the holistic importance of a grade A listed building. Councillor Glass sits as the Vice Convener of the GCC Planning Applications Committee. The facade, retained or not is not the the unique part of this building, surely it's the cultural heritage of this building's significance to Glasgow's, and Scotland's pioneering motor heritage which is the critical factor of importance?
