Today it is becoming increasingly difficult to know whose statistics to believe, and how to make informed and ethical choices and decisions, both in our daily lives and looking at the bigger picture of how humanity continues to shape the world we live in. Dr Meikle will use participatory techniques to help us explore some of the options which may still be open to us

Dr Meikle is editor of Reforesting Scotland magazine, and has a background in microbiology. She is a research campaigner, focusing on climate change, pollution and resource depletion, and the need for energy demand reduction. Mandy also writes a blog as "The Cheery Pessimist".
